What is an Agent for Trustee?
An individual can appoint a family member, a friend, or even themselves as trustee of their trust.  For those appointed individuals, the fiduciary responsibilities and administrative duties of serving as trustee can be challenging and time consuming.  The trustee will often require assistance in managing the trust and will hire an agent.  An agent for trustee, such as Two Rivers Trust Co., provides safekeeping of assets, record keeping, investment management and tax services for the trustee.  The trustee retains all the fiduciary responsibility while the agent provides the required accounting functions.
